Fa'atete

Fa'atete, Fa'akete, or Pa'u Mango are the "running" or "rolling" high pitch skin drums that are just as distinct sounding as a Toere. Like our bass drums, they are made from 100% hand bent wood. Our Faatetes come in  either a 10" diameter or a 12" diameter by 17" tall. You have the choice of which diameter best suits the sound you're looking  for. They come topped with your choice of goat skin or vinyl.

Each drum is made using a design of your choice. When purchasing a Faatete or any of our skin drums, I will provide you with an email or message containing our current design selection (usually 40+ on hand) that you can choose from to make your drum unique.

Apart from the bended wood Fa'atetes, We also offer a hand carved option. Made from a Mahogany wood (our "Go too" wood for carvings and urns), These Fa'atetes come in either a 10" diameter or a 12" diameter by 15" tall. You have the choice of which diameter best suits the sound you're looking for. They come topped with your choice of goat skin or vinyl. Every Fa'atete will come with our signature carving as shown above (actual designs subject to change) or you may request custom carvings.
