The Ihara or Bamboo sounding drum is a great instrument and accessory to have for any Fa'atete player and even To'ere player. Though bamboo and other woods were commonly used to create this unique sound, we have since substituted those for round stock dowels. This not only makes its function just as good, but we can also alter the pitch with different size dowels as well as easily replace them as
